Speaker Bios:

Corinne Bolduc is an Ojibwe Cree artist and a proud member of Eabametoong First Nation (Treaty 9) in Fort Hope, Ontario, and the founder of The Ivory Kraken Company. Her contemporary artwork is rooted in her cultural heritage and inspired by teachings passed down from her grandmother, Alice. Her impact has been recognized nationally, including a nomination for the 2025 Canadian SME National Business Awards and receiving the 2025 NIPD Artwork Award, highlighting her artistic excellence and leadership as an Indigenous entrepreneur. She also served as Market Director for the 2024 Vancouver Indigenous Fashion Week (VIFW), where she curated a high-end marketplace experience, and these experiences continue to influence her multidisciplinary approach, where she blends artistry with strategy and innovation.

Semiah Smith Named “Artist to Watch” by SheBOPS Zine (USA) in 2024, Semiah is more than delivering on that claim in 2025 earning a DORA Award for Outstanding Composer, completing a successful Canadian west coast tour, and invited as support act for Aysanabee and Jully Black. Alongside her work in music and visual art, Semiah is deeply committed to education and interdisciplinary exploration. She is currently working as a research assistant for a national Indigenous Brain Health study and previously completed an internship at Harvard Medical School. Her personal journey reflects a strong belief that creativity and science are not separate paths, but complementary ways of understanding the world and the importance of a full and balanced life.
